Hi guys,

I'm looking for AFMs of C501 and C551. I'm specially interested about Certification status that could be found on section II. Does anyone able to send me a scan of this chapter?

Regards,
will

Volenrac,

I checked my manuals and I do not have a 501 or 551 AFM. I have the 500 ad 550 AFM's. What is it you are interested in with regards to certification? The 501 and 551 are certified under Title 14 CFR Part 23 vs. the 500 and 550 which is certified under Title 14 CFR Part 25. The diference is the max Takeoff Weight Part 23 is 12,500 lbs or less and Part 25 is 12,500 and over.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Mike

Mike,

You answered my question. I was also looking for a scan of the AFM chapter, because I like "proof".
I fly on citation II with a single pilot modification. Our MTOW is 14 500Lbs (due to Branson Kit). Does it mean that, if I fly alone, I should operate it with a MTOW of 12 500 Lbs?

Volenrac,

These single pilot exemptions are all slightly different. I believe you have an STC for the aircraft stating that it can be flown single pilot. But in the text i states that the pilot must hold a single pilot rating in the aircraft. With that you are not limited to 12,500.0 lbs but may operate the aircraft at your certified MTOW.

Mike

As always, you have been very helpfull.
Thanks Mike

For those who might own a C501/551 AFM, I'm still interrested by the scan of section II "certification status".
